EIKEN Writing Course
Learn to think, organize, and write under pressure
A structured one-to-one course built around targeted drills, writing practice, reading, vocabulary, and continuous feedback.
Students don’t simply write an essay and receive a correction. We work on the individual skills behind good EIKEN writing through short, focused exercises:
Targeted Drills
Practise making decisions, developing ideas, organizing arguments, and expressing them clearly.
Reading & Vocabulary
Use carefully selected EIKEN topics and supplementary reading to build the language and knowledge needed to write about unfamiliar subjects.
Continuous Feedback
Your work shapes the next lesson. We review what you did, identify what needs work, and use it to decide what you practise next.
EIKEN Speaking Course
Build the confidence and control to express yourself clearly.
A structured one-to-one course built around targeted speaking drills, EIKEN interview practice, guided discussion, and continuous feedback.
Students don’t simply practise interview questions. We work on the skills behind strong spoken answers through short, focused exercises:
Targeted Speaking Drills
Practise vocabulary and synonym drilling, developing ideas, organizing your answers, explaining your reasoning, and responding clearly under time pressure.
EIKEN Topics & Discussion
Use carefully selected EIKEN topics to build vocabulary, ideas, and the ability to discuss unfamiliar subjects.

Meet Your Teachers
Two teachers. More ways to support your learning.
English when you want it. Japanese when you need it.
We’re a husband-and-wife teaching team, and we bring different strengths, experiences, and perspectives to our lessons. You’ll never be expected to work with both of us at once just because we’re a two-teacher studio. We use the support that makes the most sense for you.
Lessons may be entirely in English, with Japanese support when something needs a clearer explanation. For certain activities, we may also work together so you can benefit from both of our strengths.
Whether you need a difficult grammar point explained in Japanese, help developing an argument in English, or simply another perspective on a problem, the goal is the same: give you the support you need without getting in your way.
